PAYE changes ahead

HM Revenue and Customs have recently announced the following changes
to the PAYE system:
From 6 April 2007
Tax codes will automatically be changed in line with details reported
by employers on forms P11D and P46 (Car). As a result, employees’ tax
deductions should more quickly and accurately reflect the benefits
in kind which are being received.
From 6 April 2008
Businesses with 50 or more employees will have to submit details of
starting and leaving employees, and pension information, to HM Revenue
and Customs online. (All businesses will have to do this from 6 April
2010.)
