It may not be the Olympics - but we’re still going for gold!
14/10/2011
While the world’s elite athletes are busy preparing for the 2012 London Olympics, we are gearing up for a challenge of our own a little sooner...
At Harris Lipman, we have always been committed to supporting worthy causes, which is why we are delighted to be taking part in the UK200Group’s Not the Olympics 2012 campaign, which aims to raise £50,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.
Since May, participating members of the UK200Group of independent accountancy and lawyer firms have been transporting an Olympic-style torch across the UK, by walking, running, cycling or, indeed, any other innovative mode of transport other than a modern car.
At Harris Lipman, we are proud to be bringing this incredible nationwide challenge to its much anticipated conclusion by taking the torch to the Olympic Stadium on Thursday, 10 November. In keeping with the theme, 15 members of our team will be dressed in different Olympic sports kits, while those of you who come down to support us on the day will also witness our senior partner, Barry Lewis, arriving at the stadium on the back of a chariot, surrounded by his ‘athletes’!
We are very much looking forward to this momentous occasion and hope that as many of you as possible will show your support by kindly sponsoring us to help raise valuable funds for this extremely worthy cause. Your friends, family and colleagues are welcome to sponsor us too – after all, the aim is to raise as much money as possible!
To sponsor us, please visit the UK200Group's sponsorship page on the Just Giving website.
Your support is much appreciated!
