Harris Lipman put the kettle on for charity
07/10/2010
The team at Harris Lipman made time for a cuppa on Friday (September 24) as they took part in the world’s biggest coffee morning.
The annual event raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and is the charity’s biggest fundraising event with offices, workplaces and community groups putting the kettle on to raise funds for the charity’s vital work.
Last year’s event raised some £7.9million, and organisers are hoping to break the £8million barrier this year.
Harris Lipman raised £650 by collecting donations from those who took part, as well as selling a cake made by one of the team to the highest bidder.
Harris Lipman senior partner Barry Lewis said: “At Harris Lipman, we always try to do our bit for charity and were delighted to offer our support to Macmillan by staging a coffee morning.
“Everyone enjoyed taking part and we managed to raise a good amount for a very worthwhile cause.”
