Harris Lipman Partner Appointed Liquidator of Our Price Entertainment Limited

A partner at London Chartered Accountants and Licensed Insolvency Practitioners Harris Lipman has been appointed as liquidator of Our Price.

Freddy Khalastchi has been appointed to succeed the original liquidators, PricewaterhouseCoopers, in investigating the company’s financial affairs and recovering assets for the benefit creditors.

Our Price, whose origins date back to the 1970s, was for many years a leading high street retailer of records and tapes.  It subsequently suffered trading difficulties, going into administration in 2003 and liquidators were then appointed the following year.

Freddy Khalastchi has been a licensed insolvency practitioner since 1994 and has experience across the whole spectrum of insolvency appointments, including challenging assignments such as trading administrations, forensic investigations, turnarounds and Law of Property Act receiverships.

He said: “The creditors on this case are significant and they want a thorough investigation into what has gone on.  That is what we will be striving to achieve in this case.”
