Helping The Environment

For some time, Harris Lipman has been recycling materials wherever possible, in order to help reduce our carbon footprint and help the environment generally.

On a local level, we are part of a scheme run by Paper Planet Limited which aims to improve the local environment by planting a tree for every 50 sacks of material collected for recycling. In our case, this is mainly paper, although toner cartridges, plastic cups and aluminium cans can also be collected and recycled.

For 2007, we are very pleased to say that we received a certificate of merit confirming that 6 trees had been planted as a result of our participation in the scheme. It’s often jokingly remarked how many trees were cut down to provide a particular publication, mailshot, etc – but this does prove that the opposite can now happen!
