Harris Lipman rewards top staff performance

24/01/2007

Linda Carter, a personal assistant at the firm, has received the much-coveted award on account of her outstanding client service provided throughout the year.

Working at the firm’s North London headquarters, Linda joined the firm in 1998 and is responsible for providing secretarial and admin support to three of the firm’s partners, together with general support to the insolvency department, including set-up work for liquidations and bankruptcies.

Linda comments: "I must admit that I was initially extremely shocked to learn that I had won the award. Not only is it really delightful to win the award in itself, it is also really nice to know that my fellow team members have voted for me and appreciate what I contribute to the team.

"I would like to thank everyone who voted for me, and Harris Lipman for the lovely prize. I was thrilled with the opportunity to donate towards a selection of charities of my own personal choice"

Selected on an annual basis, the Solomon Lipman Award is voted by the Harris Lipman team in respect of a fellow team member who has demonstrated an exceptional performance throughout the year.

As part of her prize Linda was given a crystal vase and invited to nominate a charity or charities of her choice to receive £1,000. Linda’s chosen charities were The Mare and Foal Sanctuary, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, When you Wish Upon a Star and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Martin Atkins, partner at Harris Lipman comments: "Linda has worked really hard over the years, always coming into work extra early and helping others where necessary. She represents many of the core values which are at the forefront of the company: dedication, consistency and professionalism. She is more than a deserved winner and weare delighted to present her with this award."

The Solomon Lipman Award is named in honour of the late Solomon Lipman who founded the Harris Lipman firm back in 1954, in basic premises near Ilford, Essex. The firm has since flourished and evolved into a leading and widely esteemed accountancy practice, with four UK offices in Whetstone (North London), City of London, St Albans and Cardiff and a team of dedicated partners. As a longstanding memorial to the hard work and professionalism which was originally shown by Solomon Lipman, the Harris Lipman team honour the award in his name every year.
