The Harris Lipman tax team expands

We are delighted to announce the addition of two new tax specialists to our Whetstone (North London) office - Martina Fitzgerald and James Knowles.

Joining from Big Four firm PWC where she was a tax consultant, Martina is now head of taxation at Harris Lipman. Her range of specialist expertise includes tax efficient schemes, tax for non UK and non domiciled individuals, and inheritance tax planning.

Martina comments: “I am looking forward to utilising my skills and facing the new challenges which heading up a tax department will bring. My first aim is to build on the great tax team the firm has already, specifically by encouraging training and developing within the more junior team members.”

One such junior member of the team is new recruit James Knowles. A tax trainee, joining from a medium sized accountancy firm, James will be responsible for preparing personal tax returns for clients and dealing with corporate tax matters.

James comments: “I am delighted to be joining Harris Lipman as a trainee. I’m confident I will gain practical experience by dealing with high net worth individuals, while also completing my Association of Taxation Technicians exams until becoming fully qualified.”
