HARRIS LIPMAN HOST MAGICAL EVENING

Harris Lipman Chartered Accountants and Licensed Insolvency Practitioners would like to send out a big thank you to everyone who attended their magically themed business turnaround and corporate recovery event.



The event was held at the prestigious Millennium Centre in Cardiff and marked the ongoing development of the firm and the recent expansion of its office in Cardiff Bay.

A gathering of local professionals and peers, the evening boasted a drinks reception, canapés and entertainment in the form of a magic show. Of the numerous magic tricks presented, audience favourites included an ensemble of card tricks and a tantalising demonstration which involved linking three nervous volunteers’ wedding rings together before finally separating them, much to the relief of the participants.

The magician, Nicholas Einhorn, is the Magic Circle Centenary Close-Up Magician and has been honoured as Close-Up Magician of the Year three times in the last decade, most recently being last year.

 

During the evening there was also a presentation on the pitfalls of hiding your head in the sand during periods of financial stress, given by John Cullen, partner at the firm. John advised of the benefits of contacting an insolvency practitioner earlier rather than later in times of trouble to ensure that insolvency practitioners are not the professional of the last resort. This usually ensures that more recovery options are available to the company. John comments: "We decided to host an evening event for local business people and professionals to mark our recent development in the Cardiff office. It was important for us that the evening was enjoyable as well as informative which is why we decided on the venue and to include entertainment as well as a brief business presentation.

"Everything ran very smoothly and the evening was a fantastic success with over eighty people attending. I have since received numerous compliments from people saying how much they enjoyed the night so it is definitely something we will consider doing again in the future. "
