CLS Media, trading as Lady Blonde, provides an online guide to events, parties and venues in the capital, providing information on the hottest happenings, and exclusive member previews and discounts.

For director Claudia Shapiro, who was just 23 when she had the initial idea, she needed a good deal of advice in the early stages – and fortunately, Harris Lipman were on hand to provide it.

She said: “Harris Lipman had already done some work for a relative of mine so when I first had the idea, he suggested that I contacted them to get their input.

“From that moment Harris Lipman, and Barry in particular, helped me with all the early stages of forming a company. They assisted me with forecasting and business plans, made some introductions and generally gave me belief and confidence in what I was doing.

“Going forward, they continue to take care of all my returns, help with my payroll, and are still at the end of the phone if I have any queries or concerns.”

And despite the company having only been in business for just over a year, Claudia already has big plans to expand, with Harris Lipman currently assisting her with raising finance.

She added: “For any small business, paying your accountant is a significant outlay, but in the case of Harris Lipman, it has been money well spent.

“They have gone above and beyond what I expected. I did not have much experience on the financial side of running a business and no business partners to call on, so I’ve needed quite a lot of help, and they have always been there to give it.”
